Is this like a day where you return to your shamanistic eagle worshipping ways?

Gonna get that foreign taste of soccer out of our mouths with some god-loving fireworks.

Re: Happy manifest destiny day
I ate an English muffin in protest. It was not very good. I should have made eggs benedict.

You came to America and probably didn't even experience Waffle House. What a shame. Pewps back me up.Wimble wrote:I ate a Belgian waffle in DC and then they beat you in the World Cup. Coincidence?
Did you at least have chicken and waffles? I know it sounds weird.
Should have visited Waffle Champion in OKC.

Re: Happy manifest destiny day
I think Shake Shack is regional. Everywhere has a burger here. Regional chains here probably don't have great burgers. Braum's has good chicken and fries and Sonic has good... what's Sonic good for Pewps besides cheap coke? Oh Braum's has great breakfast sandwiches.
I've had a waffle burger before, or more like a folded waffle with burger stuff. Waffle Champion is basically waffle sandwiches. So good. Waffle+pulled pork+BBQ SAUCE.

Sonic is good for nothing besides cheap coke (which you get from that guy in brown Taurus in the back of the parking lot).

Order the extreme tots from Sonic. It's not on the menu but they all know how to make as far as I know. Shit's good.

Re: Happy manifest destiny day
Sonic is pretty garbage, at least over here. I'll give the one Oregon-based Sonic the benefit of the doubt though because it's probably used to exile misbehaving Sonic workers like a prison colony.fallenchicken wrote:Sonic is good for nothing besides cheap coke (which you get from that guy in brown Taurus in the back of the parking lot).
Northwest doesn't really have any of these places, as far as I can tell. If Salo spent any time in Portland he'd have ran into the foodcarts. There's some pretty good chicken and waffles at those.

Re: Happy manifest destiny day
I didn't even know Sonic was in Oregon.
Sonic isn't even the best restaurant of its type here, not sure how it's the one that ended up doing well. Coit's was similar and better but I think all of them are closed now, at least on the northside.
Charcoal Oven is I guess where I'd suggest to go for a good fast food burger in OKC. Can't believe I forgot it. So good.

Re: Happy manifest destiny day
So you hear of all these mythical places: 5 Guys, In and Out. And then they open up in your town. Not even 15 minutes away! And you're thinking, great. So then you eat there. And discover that they're mediocre.

Re: Happy manifest destiny day
Everyone I spoke to said 5 Guys was shit. I enjoyed In and Out. Tim Hortons was funny because I thought it was like a McDonalds cafe, but when I ordered a coffee the dude just pressed a button on a machine. Why not have that in front of the counter and remove the middleman? Canada are you even real

My brother is this way with Jack in the Box. Except I don't think there's hype for Jack in the Box. He loves it too much anyway. Last time I saw him he talked about Star Wars and Jack in the Box.fallenchicken wrote:So you here of all these mythical places: 5 Guys, In and Out. And then they open up in your town. Re: Happy manifest destiny day
Wait, wait. 5 Guys is great. Don't fuck around. It's no Burgerville. I bet none of you have had Burgerville. Except maybe Grel.
In and Out is also great, but in our family we call it In an Hour ( xD lawl )
