Liked the Jon Snow vs the council scene. Dude Commander Shepard'd that shit. Kit Harrington might not be so bad.

Bronn is a winner, always will be.

Jaime & Brienne coming back to King's Landing will be very interesting.

Negatives: New Darrio still kind of sucks. But Dany's outfit=fresh as shit.

The drunk dude following Sansa was poorly handled and kind of dumb.

So happy to have the show back.

Hated the shoe horned in brothel scene. But Oberyn made it bearable(I don't remember him being bi sexual in the books, but whatever). I like to imagine that he's Inigo Montoya's older brother.
I liked the scene in which Ice got reforged. But then they ruined it by making the swords look nothing like they should have.
New Daario is fine, at least he doesn't have a stupid face like the last one.
In general the episode was pretty good. It's kind of slow for a season opener though.

Dinero x Daario just reminds me of how stupid Dinero is. If the books/tv shows end with Dinero holding any form of power I'll be pissed. Brothel scene was dumb and the whole gay thing was shoehorned in. Pretty sure the guy who plays Oberyn was that one dude in Spartacus? Arya and Jaime/Brienne storylines are always quality.

I thought it was a pretty good opener for the new season. A few links to last season and then straight into building up the tension for this season.
Tywin's destruction of Ice at the beginning was well done and nicely timed I think. Oberyn seems well cast - grateful for the recasting of Daario as well. Everything Joffrey related is just brilliant. How did that kid get so good at playing a total prick?

Thought Jon Snow was actually quite dynamic this episode for a change. Perhaps there is hope yet? I also feel like the medium of TV helps to portray Tyrion's situation as even more frustrating and dangerous than it seemed in the books.

But of course 'Arya and the Hound' is still the best show on TV.

There are a lot of other moments that got me excited in terms of foreshadowing, but I don't wanna be droppin' spoilers!

It's a real shame Dany has so much plot armor. Esteros is boring. And I find the white hair and tan skin incredibly gross.

That said, I'm a fan of the casting for her supporting characters. And the Daario recast is welcome.

Reforging the sword was a great intro to the episode. Subtle recap and move on.

Sansa and the drunk guy was alright, I have sympathy for both them.

No opinion on Jon Snow or fatso but the big wildling guy is entertaining as shit.

Agreed on Oberyn's sexuality being gratuitous expository bull, and I thought all his dialogue was pretty shitty, but the guy delivers it pretty well.

Hound/Arya continue to be great. All those puncture sounds.

I wish they could resurrect Robb Stark so they could kill him again.

Thought it was a pretty clunky episode until the last 20 minutes. Bran's storyline is pretty whack at this point, and I don't give a shit about Theon much anymore. They got rid of 2 characters this episode, but now I realize I may miss Joffrey's fucked-upness.

The part when Tyrion is told by Bronn to go drink enough to think he's made the right decision and then runs into Oberyn for a second was great.
