Haven't even finished #2 yet. Barely past the beginning and kept dying to such stupid shit last night that I wanted to uninstall again

Dark souls actually has kinda interdasting lore from what I've seen, but apparently they drip feed it to you and I dunno if I'm emotionally prepared for that

I didn't pick up on a lot of it until I starting looking up weapons and stuff on the wikis. There's a lot in the game, especially environmental stuff, but only if you're looking for it.

This worked out ~$15 cheaper than Steam for me, dunno if it'd be the same for you guys. Got the key straight away.

I have died > 99 times and I haven't even reached the first major boss.

I am not very good at this game.

I've already rerolled once. Although my knight feels much easier to play than my mercenary did. It's a bit harder than bloodborne because you can't spam attack to refill health

I thought about doing that and rolling a Giant Hammer based character like I did in DS1, but if I were doing that again I'd want to do it STR/Faith based, and I haven't seen any decent weapons with that scaling yet.

Pyro's going alright, though, so I'll probably finish this playthrough on her.

Is it worth getting a controller to play with for darksouls PC version? UI is abit clunky to work with keyboard and mouse and ive often accidentally double clicked my mouse to swat with my shield instead of blocking leading me to getting completely destroyed by an enemy.

Yeah. I got a second hand one for $15 a while back, it's handy for other games too.

It doesn't recognize my PS4 controller, so make sure you get an XBONE controller if you do.

Bought a 360 afterglow controller for half the price of an xbox one controller. Worked right away, already feel like its going to make a huge difference in the gameplay

After rerolling a million times I finally decided on Knight because I'm a filthy casual (but not as casual as Herald). I really wanted to start as Deprived like I did in Dark Souls 1, but the club this time around is just too shitty, and the Lothric High Wall is too unforgiving for a naked man. Maybe on a later playthrough.
