Though the fundamental complaints will remain about deserving teams being left out, especially when Ohio State gets the fourth spot over Baylor once Florida State loses this game, I do like the way this weekend played out, with all the top four teams needing to seal their spots. Alabama was the only team I would have guaranteed winning this weekend.

I was in a bar last night and the ducks game was on.

I'm always skeptical of our defense even though it's been years since Terrell Pryor and Cam Newton merely walked over the defensive line but Oregon looked good.

FSU actually playing well against against Georgia Tech and having been undefeated since 2012 is a good enough stake. Ohio State should get in over TCU, which lost to Baylor and as far as I can tell has played a mostly cake schedule (like FSU), but Ohio State would get better ratings so I gotta believe the committee factors that. And 59-0 against Wisconsin is more impressive than 55-3 against Iowa State.

@Grel, I think Bama would have similar success on the ground against Oregon that Pryor did. Sims is shifty.

People around here are freaking out that the Big 12 got left out. The Big 12 didn't get left out, TCU got left out. The Big 10 didn't make it, Ohio State made it. If it was Texas or OU in the same position, they would have made it. It's how the BCS worked and its how the playoff will work. Teams like TCU can't lose if they want to have a lock on a playoff spot.

Not that I'm upset. Glad they didn't make it! Go Oregon. I'd be upset at any other team winning it.

It's true, though I do think the isolated fact of TCU being #3, one rank ahead of FSU, and dropping three spots only blowing out another team 55-3 is pretty ridiculous.

I think the Ducks can handle FSU no problem. FSU is more talented than their close games would suggest, but they've been underachieving. They looked solid last night. But if we play as well as we did against Arizona I don't think it'll be a contest.

I don't know, I think FSU is shit. We played them close and we were terrible this, though to be fair we actually had a competent QB that game and Tyreek got a lot of touches. Kill 'em.
