Or second game.

Also, i/r/t first game: I hope Morrigan dies and that red-headed catholic girl is back. Allistar can come back too, underrated character I don't care what anyone says.

The weirdest part is how she looks so different from DA2

There's a new section on the website that gives the backgrounds for the different race / class combos.

http://www.dragonage.com/#!/en_US/inquisitor

No dorf mage, but they wrote a blurb for it so maybe eventually, sometime.

Also there was another gameplay demo. More of the same stuff but nice to see:

Still no clear info on all the subclasses. Dwarf mage blurb was a nice touch.

It is disappointing to me that Dwarves cannot be mages.

Because elves are derp and I'm still not sold on the Qunari, so that leaves me with the sole choice of Human Mage.

Not to mention that no other race has class restrictions. I'm fine with class restrictions if it was some old school type thing where say Elves couldn't be Warriors, cause they seemingly have zero muscle mass (I still dunno how Fenris was wielding those oversized swords in DA2). And Qunari couldn't be sneaky rogues cause they are stupid huge. But whatevs.

It's not a huge deal, just me nit-picking.

Also I love this -
The Qunari are a race...
Tee hee!

Day 1 DLC: unlock Dorfmage ($15)

EDIT: Party composition is a problem too, imo. The companion mages are a bit meh, so naturally I'd want to make my Inquisitor a mage. Alas...

Yes this has always been a bit of a drama for me. Choosing to play Rogue in DA2, made having Varric in my party at all times somewhat illogical, but who else would I have? And again, playing Mage, Anders in the party seems overkill. Plus these two characters to me seem pretty central to the whole story, more so than the others (That's just my view though, maybe others don't see it that way).

I really couldn't bear Carver, Aveline or Fenris - yet I had no interest in playing a Warrior. So my party always felt fairly imbalanced.

A lot more companions in the line up for Inquisition, which should hopefully mean being able to sort out these party problems. But on the other hand, I'm wondering just how many of these companions will actually be with you for the entirety of the game, or if some will only be available during certain critical plot moments (A very Bioware thing to do, imo). Remains to be seen.

*Edit - All of this is fairly irrelevant though, because I'm delusional if I think I'm actually going to have time to play this game in any case!

It was even worse in DA:O where, IIRC, you basically had to have Wynne on the higher difficulties. Wynne wasn't terrible but it got a bit old. Anders was central to DA2 plot. i just never used him (which made it a bit awkward. And also meant I always had Merill.)

You can apparently kill / your companions can leave at different points, so keeping 3 of each class on board for most of the game probably isn't going to happen. I've already ruled out two companions (Solas and Cole). If we only had two rogues available I'd be faced with only having Varric (which isn't bad to me but no choice).

I embrace the awkward though. I think I ran rogue Hawke-Isabella-Varric-Merill. Not ideal. I probably need to come to terms with having Varric in every group because I can't quit that guy.

I always thought it was pretty hilarious that they even bothered adding an extra rogue as DLC in DA2. Sebastian is just so awful. I don't know why anyone would ever have him in the party over Varric.

I am eager to see just how unbearable some of the new companions are in Inquisition :P

I started playing DA:O. So far my dog is the best guy. Alistair and Morrigan are okay. Morrigan needs a jacket or something though.
