I played it. I did everything except the shards because fuck shards.

It's a great area. I liked the story and was surprised how relevant it was to DAI's main story. It was interesting to play as an elf (and in general some of the elf specific dialogue in this game is good). There were some good sidequests but if you were meh about DAI's sidequests in general then you will probably be meh about these too.Really pretty area though.

$15 is steep but I think the main story is worth playing. If you want more DA then sure but otherwise you can probably wait.

Black Emporium in May apparently.

Spoilers for the DLC:
Finding out Ameridan was a mage was huge. I like when the game plays with history like that. DAI does a good job turning history or legend around like that (see: Solas).

I'm confused over whether this is just multiplayer (isabella an online character?) or whether it has a singe player part.

Solid. I want some of those schematics.

I haven't done MP since launch basically. It seems harder to justify playing than ME3 MP, which ended up being pretty good.

The lightning on the mirror is more normal than the character creator, too, so that's nice. I remembered to remove the lip shine when creating my current character but the lips were pinker than I wanted so I fixed that.

The schematics for the unique weapons are nice. I think all the armor schematics were already available but were all random drops so having them on a vendor is good, too.

I haven't tried any of the multiplayer since then either. I got that one class to level 17 or something and didn't do much else. I had a bunch of free chests though and got the Avvar character from one of those. Didn't play it though.

Grel I played some Reaver and it's sort of insane. I know part of it is having an excellent weapon but the self-healing is pretty great. I solo'd a demon routine all the way up to the boss at level 4 but couldn't kill the demon commander by myself.

I started a nightmare playthrough today. I made a surly, skeptical elf which is fun. If you play as skeptic, they really beat the whole faith thing into your head.

The extra dialogue bits with elves are the best of the four choices (though I haven't played Qunari). I think it adds a different element to the story. There's some in Jaws of Hakkon, too.

Playing the multiplayer a lot this week makes me want them to take some elements from the classes and add them with the next game or in an expansion. Most of the base game characters are pretty straightforward but Isabella and the Avvar have really fun playstyles that aren't replicated in single player. I haven't played the music mage but he has insane pizzazz.

badfo and Grel multiplayer update:
-Music mage is insanely OP.
-Turns out we can clear the hardest difficulty dragon with OP music mage fairly easily, but we've only done the easiest dragon type.
-I've put way too much time into multiplayer.

Yeah we play on PC.

Music mage (Virtuoso) is mostly a support class (or seemingly best played as support, I guess). It doesn't really have abilities. It has three notes (fire, ice, electric) and a play song ability. You learn different songs (three note combinations) that give buffs to you and your teammates (haste, armor buff, heal on hit etc) or perform attacks when you play them.

The OP part is the barrier song can essentially be spammed to keep anybody alive through a lot of damage once you have the right barrier and mana regen talents. And even if you didn't do that it's still ridiculously powerful as a support class.

Deep Roads are +.

Dorfs are +.

Doesn't look like a new world map area, looks like a dungeon, so maybe no new standard area things like shard is +.

I hope it's really long and not just a dungeon but it seems like a couple hour long dungeon quest which is cool I still get it. I been meaning to start my Nightmare playthrough soon, letting some DLC pile up.

Also Witcher 3 new game plus is coming in the next few weeks!!!

They added a daggerdorf multiplayer character that is like a hybrid rogue/warrior. Supposed to be a dorf Silent Sister from Orzamamsjdjdjjs. Super OP.

I haven't played the singleplayer yet but I heard it's really hard on nightmare.

So far it's just generally really hard. I did get to pick up some nice tier 4 schematics at level 14 so thats pretty cool.

Dorf mini-companions are great. So far story is good. I enjoy the Deep Roads.

Templar combo is god-mode for dealing with trash. Unfortunately, multi-ogre/genlock alpha fights are brutal. Just. Brutal.

Yeah.

I'm using Blackwall, Dorian, Varric and my 2H Templar. Varric keeps leaping off of cliffs so I turned off leaping shot in tactics.

So just out of curiosity, am I supposed to be doing something with Ogres? I play a rift mage and the lady dorf keeps saying something like "hit it while it's distracted", am I supposed to get behind it or something? Cause they seem like they're pretty huge damage sponges
