We don't have many Yurops here anymore, but for the Aussies: is reading about these nationalist parties in Europe as an outsider somewhat like reading about the US Tea Party as an outsider?

I was reading some stuff and was stupid enough to read comments in places like Reddit and the Guardian and that's the thought that came to my mind, that this must be what it's like to read about people like Bachmann and Ted Cruz as an outsider.

I haven't been keeping up with non-Australian politics, but reading about our own government is like reading about the Tea Party as an outsider.

Apparently, the new president of Ukraine's nickname is The Chocolate King. He's a candy oligarch. I love it. He should be in next season's game of thrones.

How much everybody hates the Aussie PM occasionally gets into American news.

Is Europe having a new run of ultra-nationalist parties? or is it just UK?

Better be a one term PM or I'm pulling a Qual and running off to the land of maple syrup and apologies.

That would have been my plan, if I had any money, or the ability to support myself.

I'm getting better at League of Legends, though, so I've got that going for me.

I can't even comment on the current state of things. I know it's bad and the wrong way to deal with it, but I seriously just want to bury my head in the sand at this point, cause politics in this country just makes me so depressed right now.

That's the spirit! You've already passed the exam portion for US citizenship.

Er, this seemed like the most likely thread to put this in to.

phpBB [video]

Now she absolutely deserves to be slapped with a fine for being a bigoted cow. But in all honesty, when the leaders of our country display abhorrent racism and discrimination on a daily basis, is it any wonder that ignorant shit heads like this think they are thoroughly justified in their petty hatred?

Australia, stop disappointing me.

I feel like I've watched the same thing on an English train.

In San Francisco I've only ever seen minorities go on racist rages against white people, but we have such a severe case of white guilt that we just keep our heads down, lol.
