I'd never use it to read a book, and I'm not sure how efficient it would be for me to breeze through articles and retain the knowledge, but just playing around with the demo was interesting. I'm wondering how well it might be able to teach people to read.
So this is kinda cool

I don't understand why it would make reading better. The demos were annoying and it got boring--just because words are flying in your face doesn't mean your actually reading and comprehending them. And I could have read their pages faster without spritzing it. But I don't even like ebooks so. LONG LIVE PAPER.

I don't think it's supposed to make reading better, just faster. If I had to read and fully understand a text, it would be terrible, you're right. But in terms of getting a general understanding of something, I didn't really have any trouble understanding the spritzy stuff. It's something that I could probably get used to over time. (Also, you can read at 700 words per minute? Damn.)
