baffo tackles an asteroid

Image

Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of the ship drilling through it because I crashed the ship into the asteroid and it died. But I do have a hand drill!

Image

Tunnels!

Image

And then I built a deck so I could look at my tunnels. The gravity generator applied to the asteroid which I find very accommodating to tunnel living.

Image

Then I decided to build a ship in a new game. The yellow one was one of the starter ships and I built my little blue buggy to park on top of it.

Image

In that above screenshot you might notice a beacon to another ship which was cruising around, I went to investigate

Image

Unfortunately it was moving pretty fast and by the time I figured out where the entrance was and got to the cockpit to stop it, yellow ship and the buggy were too far away to see. I suppose I should have put a beacon on them.

Also multiplayer works. You create a game and can let your friends join or set it to public. There's weapons.

Stop being so jealous.

I build a real base!

Image

I found out you can copy / paste ships so that's nice. Now I have two when I inevitably crash one.

Image

Inside the building is a med bay and some generators. It's really fucking loud. Also a stairwell to the rooftop landing pad.

Image

And there's my tunnel. Trying to figure out the best way to build in there. Guess I'm going to have to drill out a big area and construct a second platform.

badfo is working on his Cloud x Sephiroth fanfic, but hopefully we'll play together. I'll download tonight and make a space-jetski tomorrow.

That sounds right, but if we're honest I'm sure he focuses on badfo x Tifa

salo trying to hurt my feelings

Good tier: Tifa, Red, Cid, Yuffie
Meh tier: Barrett
Shit tier: Cloud, Sephiroth, Vincent, Aeris

For real though I'm feeling constrained by this 3-man party system. I forgot about it. Every RPG should be four at a time AT THE LEAST

Barrett is great, the game would not be the same without his expletives. He's a thug but he cares about nature.

My opinion of Barrett is heavily tainted right now as my best weapon for him makes him melee and has no materia slots so he can fuck off for all I care.

pano and I played some multiplayer.

His creation.

I'm not sure how the saving works. I think everybody needs to save individually if they want to keep the save file and the host just uses the updated file. Don't know, but I got your shit saved.

Also Pewps blows us out of the water.

Also Pewps can't touch some of the crazy shit people are making.

In short I'm the lowest.

It took me twice as long to basically make a floating box with engines on the side.

You just highlight it and ctrl c then ctrl v. No clipboard though.

Working with rotors. I can make a piston but it's awkward. Rotating hangar door is easy enough, if a bit clumsy. Had an issue with it flying off randomly but I think I got that fixed by using landing gear to lock it into place. Management is the only real issue. Have to do it through the control panel and only on off states. Rotating into "off" position is too slow and I can't figure out how to adjust it. Would love to be able to bind rotor states to the bar, or just a toggle to the bar at least.

My first attempt at a piston door flew off and destroyed one of salo's ships.

So putting 30+ rocket launchers on the front of a ship WILL crash the game

Very little math in creative mode! Building a ship is pretty easy: 1 cockpit, 1 reactor, 1 gyroscope and thrusters. You get much faster at it as you go. Construction comes easier, especially once salo figured out why out jetpacks were weird (Pewps, if he didn't tell you or you didn't figure it out, z toggles your inertial dampeners on and off, which explains a lot).

There's also apparently a symmetrical build mode I never noticed but I haven't tried it. I might have been wasting a lot of time.
