Feel bad for Utah. It's unfair how much easier Philly can tank. Utah has to keep real NBA players happy. Philly fields a D-League team.
Lamb got his first DNP play tonight. Long time coming. He's been terrible.
[/quote]
Philly is a debacle. Everyone involved should be ashamed of themselves. They're going to have the all time losing record by the end of the season.
The Lakers sat Pau Gasol today for "vertigo." Tanking wars are really heating up. Funnily enough, the Lakers still trounced the Knics. Because the Knicks are pathetic. Trey Burke hit a game winner against Orlando the other night. I was happy for Trey, but I was also like, that single shot might have just cost us draft position. You ass.
I figure we won't be seeing a lot of Lamb from here on out. I feel like he was just a warm body OKC through out there with Durant.
Does Caron Butler look good? There's a lot riding on an octogenarian Caron Butler. I'm not sure I'd feel great about that.

Re: In which the NBA is discussed.
Butler's been terrible but somehow better than Lamb. I don't know how. We run post ups for him. It's weird. He took 19 shots against Denver.
I think Butler's only playing a lot because Thabo is a week or two away. Playoff rotation should be Russ, Jackson, Thabo, Fisher, Durant, Ibaka, Collison and Perkins with Butler and Adams playing here and there. Russ-Reggie backcourt absolutely kills people. I hope we pay him.
Draft watch: baffo has fallen in love with Nik Stauskas.

Blazers must be under the impression that tanking only matters in February and March.

I'm bummed that Philli didn't get the all-time worst losing streak.

I like that Indiana is basically the second worst team in the league right now. They're tanking better than any of the actual tanking teams could.

Re: In which the NBA is discussed.
Watched a lot of the Clippers/OKC game last night. Westbrook Unchained "Kill Clippers and get paid for it, what's not to like?"
Gonna be interesting in the playoffs--three teams, Spurs, OKC, CLips and I can't tell which one is the best. I feel like the Spurs would beat the Clippers but OKC would beat the Spurs.
Go Phoenix! Go Dallas! You're boring, Memphis, stay out of the playoffs.
The Pacers catastrophe is to the point now Vogel's afraid of playing his starters--if they lose another game together, the locker room might implode. What a mess. Be interesting to see how they come out against Miami on Friday.
Also: Shout out to Big Al. Wrecking everyone's paint, doing his thing, getting paid.

That Clippers/Thunder game was pretty good. There was a play when Westbrook airballed a trey, Clippers had momentum, then very next play he got a putback dunk that took the air out of the arena.
And Reggie Jackson's buzzer beating three at the end of the third.
PATTY MILLS!
Unless they're playing the Blazers, I'm rooting for Dallas this year. They're entertaining as ever. Fuck Phoenix. In the East I'm rooting for the Nets because I enjoy that they turned their season around, plus the idea that this might be KG's last run (though who the hell knows) and Shaun Livingston doing his thing.
Also the Raptors because Terrence Ross went to high school in Portland and I got to see him (and Terrence Jones) shit on everyone in town.
Lol Pacers.

Re: In which the NBA is discussed.
I don't think anybody has enjoyed the Pacers collapse more than me.
I like Phoenix though. I don't want to end up eliminating them. I'd like to see Dragic and Co. kill the Spurs.
I'm not emotionally prepared for the Thunder inevitably trading Reggie.

Phoenix vs Mavericks tonight. Big big game. GO SUNS. DRAGIC I LOVE YOU WE WERE MEANT TO BE TOGETHER
I think the East should have to forfeit their 8th seed to the west. Fucked up that a team is probably going to win 50 games and not make the playoffs.

Been a good game so far, Mavs making a game in the third. Suns jumpshooting is relentless though.

Re: In which the NBA is discussed.
First round playoff predictions?
West:
Spurs beat Mavs in 4 bloody games. The Rains of Castemere plays as the Spurs repeatedly sink daggers into a screaming Monta Ellis. We'll be able to hear Mark Cuban screaming in terror from the stands.
OKC vs Memphis-- I think OKC probably wins this in 6, but Memphis can do some things.
Rockets vs Blazers--A tough pick. I give it to the Rockets in six or seven, but def not ruling Portland out. If Mathews can irritate Harden and Lillard can go off they have a chance. A lot depends on how well Dwight plays.
Clippers vs GS--Could have been interesting if Bogut was healthy. I think Clippers could run the house on this one, but GS will probably take it to 6.
East:
Pacers v Hawks -- Pacers in 5. Please NBA DO NOT AIR ANY OF THESE GAMES NOT EVEN ON NBA TV. HAVE THEM PLAY IN AN EMPTY GYM WITH ONE WITNESS AND HAVE HIM COME OUT AND TELL US WHO WON AND THEN GIVE HIM A GOLD WATCH AND SOME CAFFEINE.
There is some basketball that doesn't need to be seen.
Heat v Bobcats-- Heat in 4
Raptors v Nets-- I want it to be the Raptors, but it'll be the Nets in 6.
Bulls v Wizards-- Either Bulls in 5 or Wizards in 7. I don't know why.
