Interesting video. He said it seems like an "improved Dragon Age: Inquisition" and that worries him. But I liked DA:I and felt it just needed to be improved in a lot of ways (sidequestsssss)

I didn't like DA:I's quests because they were completely devoid of role playing. Even a fetch quest can be made somewhat interesting if I can be like "I'm keeping this thing" or "[murder knife the quest giver]". It also didn't help that the inquisitor was mostly devoid of personality.

Telling a story around the fetch quest with some real characters and narrative stakes goes a long way. The Witcher 3's sidequests are lauded, not because they were diverse in gameplay, but in that each one was a decent-to-well-written short story with three acts.

IGN has a 17m gameplay video where the player can't aim and the pre-loaded Ryder build is painfully terrible given the weapon weight-cooldown mechanics. Cover system looks better, combat looks more fluid, there's a lot of player handholding which the developers have stated is largely due to the unique mechanics of the mission being shown, but it's still a weirdly intrusive amount of player handholding.

If they make it to where each zone or planet has its own storyline on the same level as Jaws of Hakkon, I'll be happy.

I actually think it's almost pro-consumer. Five dollars to demo a game for ten hours? I could have saved myself some money in the past.

Ha. It's not the corporate ethics that bother me, it's whether or not I'll go crazy if I get it, only play x hours, and have to put it down for the rest of the week.

Good news I just found out: If you got the origin access, you can download the trial right now. I'm planning to play tonight so I can tell myself it's good and that all the haters just aren't #truefans
